Come in out of the cold

The life of an entrepreneur at times resembles that of the Maytag repair guy - it's lonely, however it doesn't have to be. Connecting with like minded entrepreneurs helps all of us take comfort that, although it may be lonely, we're not alone. Hearing like minded people's experiences is one of the best ways to learn (and then of course it's our responsibility to apply our new found knowledge).

Below is an invite to the second Women Entrepreneur luncheon series. I'll be leading a panel discussion joined by three great women entrepreneurs. In fact, we just finished Skype-ing and wow do these ladies have some interesting information to share. Below is a link to register.

Speaking of lonely and avoiding the "I've got to go it alone monster", while you're working from your home office today, due to the less than optimal weather conditions (aka winter storm), grab a cup of warm cocoa, sit by the fire, pick up the phone and reach out to a fellow entrepreneur, co-worker, leader to help you solve that problem that's been niggling at you for some time. According to Einstein you can't solve a problem on the level at which it was created and likely someone with a little distance can provide a lot of insight. Hmm you're very own "Maytag repair man/women".

I look forward to seeing you on Monday, Feb. 28th at MIP.

Ah, that's too bad that this is in Canada! I'm sure my wife would love to attend this. She just recently started her own business definitely has her ups and downs. Although her company is beginning to do well, it can still be draining and, like you say, lonely.
